Fun Frogs Day Nursery has been established since September 2007 and is owned and managed by Naomi Richardson. Naomi was brought up within the Wilmslow area and is a busy mum of 6 holding an extensive range of qualifications and experience having worked in the childcare sector for over 20 years.
Fun Frogs has a strong and long-standing staff team made up of a nursery manager, a deputy manager, 9 early years practitioners, 3 apprentices, 1 level 5 graduate, a cleaner and an onsite chef. All staff are highly trained in safeguarding by the local authority and Paediatric first aid trained. All staff also hold food hygiene certificates and certified training on the allegients law and awareness. All staff are very willing and enthusiastic about their work and fully supportive of the setting.
Fun Frogs has a private and secure facebook page which is managed by nursery management and only parents and known family members are accepted. This provides a great way of informing parents of the daily activities the children enjoy. Parents positively talk about how nice it is for family members who live abroad to have an insight into their grandchildren’s day. The page also provides comfort for those parents that on occasion work away from home.
Each room within the nursery has a room mascot who likes to go on adventures with the children and the setting. The children can take these mascots home for the weekend, on family holidays and on outings with the setting. All the adventures are shared in a diary which includes some great stories and pictures.
On a half termly basis, parents will receive an interests and achievements report from their child’s key person to keep them informed on their child’s development and give them an opportunity to share the child’s interests at home and discuss any development concerns.
The setting has a full range of effective nursery policies known by and followed by all staff and under constant review in practice. Fun frogs is also a member of NDNA & citation Plc.
Fun Frogs is contracted with Cheshire East to deliver the 2,3 & 4 Year funding offering 15 to 30 hours of
free flexible childcare per week to local children.
In addition to the funding, we offer all-round daycare with very competitive prices making childcare and
early education an affordable option for working and non-working families. We believe to be the most
competitive and most flexible childcare provider in the area with no registration fees and low deposit
charges.
We follow the quote “The world is a classroom built on our doorstep” and at fun frogs, we believe that the experiences children can have in the outdoors are endless. The children benefit regularly from trips to the local park, library, village, and surrounding areas. The children also share a wonderful relationship with the elderly residents of Hanna court and make regular visits.
Fun Frogs provide a freshly cooked meal for lunch every day to all children meeting any dietary requirements and a healthy light tea. All food is prepared onsite by our onsite chef and food is delivered to the setting fresh every Monday for the week. Fun Frogs proudly hold the highest food hygiene rating at a number 5 with the food standards agency.
At Fun Frogs the preschool children proudly wear our Fun Frogs uniform this gives a great sense of belonging to a team and helps towards being school ready, also on feedback from the parents it helps them with the drama of “what to wear tantrums” at home.
